He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Sr. Hillman and Shirley Hillman; his brother Kenneth Hillman; his sister-in-law Joanne Hillman; and his pet Thelma.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Christian; his daughter Danielle Hillman; his son-in-law Khalid Benali; his stepson Justin Christian; his brother Rodney Hillman (Kathleen Houlihan); his sibling's children, Taylor Hillman (Allie Hillman) and Elizabeth Hillman; his aunt June Mettee (Bradley Mettee); his cousins, Jill Kramer (Tim Kramer) and Jodi Cobb (Judy Fulmer); his pet Louise (Lulu Beans); and also, Melissa Christian, Jordan and Chloe.
