We announce the death of Elwood Donald Grimley (Elkridge, Maryland), who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Grimley and Virginia Grimley (Haller); his wife Kris Larsen Grimley; and his former wife Sharon Bachelor Grimley. He is survived by: his children, Donald Grimley (Donny) of Berkeley Springs, WVA, Heather Grimley Shifflett of Mercersburg, PA and Mathew Grimley (Katherine (Gerrardstown); his stepchildren, Jaci Meagher and Nicholas Meagher; his grandchildren, Scott Grimley of Gerrardstown, WVA, Brandon Grimley (Ana (Pylesville, MD) and Magnolia Rose Frye (Cumberland, MD); his great grandchildren, Noah Grimley, Kaydence Grimley and Joshua Grimley (Pylesville, MD); and his siblings, Sharon Horn (Robert (Bob) Horn), Diane Partrick (Larry Partrick (Arlington), Joyce O'Brien (Sean O'Brien (Bowie, MD), James Grimley (Ann Grimley (Stanley) and Kenneth Grimley (Ken) of Mercersburg, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Meadowridge Memorial Park (7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
