He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lafferty and Fred Lafferty. He is survived by: his wife Tammy; his son Chris Lafferty (Nicole); his brother Ted Lafferty; his grandsons, Brock Lafferty and Brian Lafferty; his nieces and nephews, Brad Lafferty, Jason Lafferty, Terry Lafferty, Christian Murphy, Gianluca Palermo, Giancarlo Palermo, Jimmy Judy, Claire Clements, Laurie Lafferty-John, Angel Nicole Murphy, Sandy Perkins, Shannon Seabolt, Debbie Smith, Taylor Seabolt and Danielle Zulauf; his sisters-in-law, Lynn McCawley (Don McCardell), Michelle Murphy (Earl Murphy) and Penny Palermo (Ermanno Palermo); his adoptive son Timmy Offutt (Debbie); and also, Alexis and Dylan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Standardbred Retirement Foundation.
