James William leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James William’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James William will carry forward his memory in their hearts.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Pence, Sr. and Laveda Faye Cowan; and his brothers, Douglas Cleave Pence and Charles Jason Pence. He is survived by: his wife Roma Ann Pence; his daughters, Miranda Rose Pence (Joshua Mieles) and Megan Eileen Timmons-Nies (Patrick Andrew Nies); his sister Debra Louise Feese (Kevin Harrison Feese); and his siblings-in-law, Sam Paul DiMisa and Susan Marie DiMisa. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gary L Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. (7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
