She is survived by: her father James Lawrence Mayer; her husband Christopher Michael Kaplan of Elkridge, MD.; her son Jack Ryan McDonald (Columbia, MD) of Elkridge; her stepchildren, Michael Warren Kaplan and Sara Elizabeth Kaplan of Annapolis, MD.; her stepmother Susan Smyth James Mayer of Shepherdstown, WV; her grandmother Adelaide Friedrich Mayer of Towson, MD; her siblings, Christine Mayer Clingerman (Brian G. Clingerman) of Eldersburg, MD., Jeffrey Friedrich Mayer (Rachael A. Caruso) of Baltimore, MD. and Elizabeth "Casper" Mayer of Martinsburg, WV; and her siblings' children, Robert A. and Yvonne R. Mayer of Baltimore.
