He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Smith and Elsie Smith; and his brother James Edwin Palmisano (Vera Keirle). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Smith; his sons, Steven K. Smith (Beth) and Wayne L. Smith (Susie); and his grandchildren, Breanne Smith, Shannon Esposito (Jake) and Lauren Smith.

In lieu of flowers, Stan's family wishes donations to be made to Melville Chapel United Methodist Church, 5660 Furnace Avenue, Elkridge, Maryland 21075.
