She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton J. Tyler and Virginia Walker Tyler; her sister Doris Garmize; her grandson Paul Thomas; and her nephew Danny Garmize.
She is survived by: her sons, David R. Thomas, Jr. (Susan) of Greensboro, NC and Bruce Arthur Thomas of Greensboro, NC; her grandson Clifton James Thomas (Angela); her great grandchildren, Clifton James Thomas, Jr., Michael Thomas, Isabella Thomas and Zoey Thomas; and her nephew Stephen Garmize of Columbia, MD..
