Hazel E. Shutt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel E. Shutt of Elkton, Maryland, who passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hazel E. Shutt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Schaeffer and Margaret Schaeffer (Shive); her husband Preston Shutt, Sr.; and her siblings, Dorothy Harner, Cliff Schaeffer and Ronnie Schaeffer.
She is survived by: her children, Preston Shutt, Jr., Judy D'Antuono (Tony) and Janet Wilson (Tim); and her siblings, Joan Knorr, Stanley Schaeffer, Kenny Schaeffer and Peggy Jeffries. She is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (24 Cameron Rd, North East, MD 21901). A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Silverbrook Cemetery (3300 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington, DE 19805).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.
