Hazel S. Coen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel S. Coen of Elkton, Maryland, who passed away on June 7, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hazel S. Coen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard W. Stearn and Annie M. Stearn; her son-in-law James Davenport; her grandson-in-law Michael Hinson, Jr.; and her siblings, Leonard Stearn Jr., Kenneth Stearn, Eldon Stearn, Harold Stearn, Carl Stearn, Myrtle Mahan, Mildred Laye and Nettie Insley.
She is survived by: her husband J. Walter Norris; her daughters, Susan Morgia (Fred) and Sharon Davenport (James); her former husband George Coen; her grandchildren, Kristen Hinson (Michael, Jr.), Benjamin Davenport (Trinity), Kaitlyn Amberg (Derrick), Austin Davenport (Jenna), Jessica Morgia (Dave), Jacqueline Martone (Joe) and Judith Morgia (Travis); and her siblings, Vernon Stearn (Sue) and Esther Carr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home (333 S Parke St, Aberdeen, MD 21001). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hopewell United Methodist Church (3600 Level Village Rd, Havre De Grace, MD 21078).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, 3600 Level Village Rd, Havre de Grace, MD 21078, in Hazel's memory.
