It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Joyce Peters of Elkton, Maryland, who passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Williams and Mildred Kinslow Williams; and her siblings, Howard, Nathaniel, Marie, Dorothy and Charlotte.
She is survived by: her children, Charles G. Peters of Elkton, MD, Celeste D. Cassidy of Chesapeake City, MD and Darnell L. Peters of Lee Summit, MO; her grandchildren, Ronnell of Natasha, AJ, Nicole, CJ, Thaddeus, Marcus, Walter and Brianna; and her siblings, Lawrence Williams of Milwaukee, WI and Mildred Preyor of Trotwood, OH.. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
