We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2025, at the age of 82, Janie Louise Sturgill of Elkton, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Snyder and Sara Wilson Snyder; her daughter Bunny Sturgill Martin; and her sister Shirley Freeman. She is survived by: her husband James Sturgill; her daughter Wendy Guerra (Vincent); her grandchildren, Kolb Potter and Katelyn Martin Tyndall; her siblings, Harold Snyder (Lois) of Jacksonville, FL, Doody Snyder (Babs) of Elkton, MD, Lois Fuqua and Paul Snyder (Marie) of Elkton, MD; and her brother-in-law Cliff Freeman of Elkton, MD..
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hicks Home For Funerals (103 Stockton St, Elkton, MD 21921). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
