He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Nickle Sr. and Margaret P. Henderson Nickle; his sons, William Nickle, Louis Nickle III, Michael Nickle and Kenneth Nickle; and his brother-in-law John Kirk Jr. (Dorothy Nickle).
He is survived by: his wife Janice K. Nickle; his children, Robert Nickle (Carol) and Dawn Larsen (Erik); and his sister Margaret F. Kirk. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hicks Home For Funerals (103 Stockton St, Elkton, MD 21921). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Gracelawn Memorial Park (2220 N Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720).
