She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry C. Cullum, Sr. and Bessie B. Cullum (Price); her son Clifton B. Whaling; her siblings, Henry C. Cullum, Jr., Juanita Brinegar and Phyllis McGraw; her sister-in-law Jeanie Whaling; and her significant other Bassett Hound "Gracie".

She is survived by : her son Frederick "C. W." Whaling, IV; her grandchildren, Julian S. Whaling, Aidan Whaling and Kirsten Whaling; and her brother William "Pee Wee" Cullum (Virginia).
