He is survived by: his close friend Dave Lacey; his son Richard Patterson II (Emily) of New Castle, DE; his grandson Richard W. Patterson; and his siblings, Patti Patterson of Elkton, MD, Susan Lynch (Alan) of Wilmington, DE, Amy Verbonitz (Mike) of Newark, DE and Robert Patterson (Ken) of Elkton, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. T. Foard Funeral Home (259 E Main St, Elkton, MD 21921). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
