He was predeceased by: his parents, Lydia Zahn Kist and Rudolf Kist, Sr.; and his granddaughter Cherie D. Kist. He is survived by: his wife Eva Grace Kist; his sons, Rudolph Kist III (Kathy) of Tennessee, Leonard A. Kist (Sarah) of Delaware and Daniel E. Kist (Clarissa) of Maryland; his grandchildren, Brittany K. McGehee (Malcolm) of Tennessee, Cameron L. Sedgwick (Brad) of Tennessee, Jonathan R. Kist (Jessica) of Tennessee, L. Stephen Kist (Allison) of Delaware, Jessica Peel (Patrick) and Vanessa Kist (Cory) of Delaware; and his great grandchildren, Evie, Chauncey, Quinn, Crawford, Callum, Wyatt, Jack, Addie, Maddox, Mason, Emilia and McKenzie.
