With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Andrew Stansfield Sr. of Elkton, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 9, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Thomas leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Stansfield and Polya Stansfield. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Stansfield; his son Thomas "Andy" Stansfield, Jr. (Kelli); and his granddaughters, Hallie, Ella, Eden and Quinn Stansfield.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (450 3rd St, Chesapeake City, MD 21915). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at the St Paul's Cemetery (1687 Crystal Beach Rd, Earleville, MD 21919).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CCUMC (Chesapeake City United Methodist Church).
