It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Effie Bourdosis of Ellicott City, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Calomeris and Peter J. Calomeris; her husband Nicholas Bourdosis; and her siblings, Christopher Calomeris, Helen Kouis, Anna Sakadales, Martina Chaconas, Jane Bursenos and James P.

She is survived by: her children, Margo Lambros (Basil) and Peter Bourdosis; her sisters-in-law, Maria Calomeris and Georgette Calomeris; her grandchildren, Stacey Tombs (Brian), Ana Lazos (Michael) and Christina Bourdosis; and her great grandchildren, Nickolas, Michael, Leah, Stelios and Sambiko. She is also survived by many other nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Effie's memory may be made to the building fund of Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Washington DC (721 Norwood Rd, Silver Spring, Maryland 20905).
