We bid farewell to Frederick William Cogswell of Ellicott City, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 25, 2026 at the age of 83. Frederick touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy James Cogswell and Frederick A. Cogswell; and his grandson Derek Holden. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Cogswell; his daughters, Julie Ocampo (Michael) and Kimberly Willard (Robin); his stepchildren, Beth Holden (Pat) and Hal Sachs (Amy); his siblings, Sandra Bowman (late Tom) and Donald Cogswell (Pat); his grandchildren, Ryan Holden, Kate Morrison (Sean), Justin Holden, Adam Sachs (Miranda), Grace Willard, Stephanie Sachs, Jonathan Ocampo, Alexander Willard and Andrew Willard; his great grandchild Elliott Sachs; and his former wife Barbara Sanalitro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Historic Church (9140 Old Frederick Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21042). A memorial service was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
