He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harper and Dorothy Harper (Woods); his sons, Anthony Harper and Timothy Harper; his siblings, John Harper, Bernard Harper and Dorothy; Christie.
He is survived by: his wife Betty C. Harper; his son James R. Harper, Jr. (Jamie); his daughter-in-law Deana Harper; his grandchildren, Matthew Harper, Michael Harper, Stephen Harper, Icee Miller, Tyler Harper, Andrew Harper, Devin Harper and Rachel Harper; and his sister Mary Jo Albright. He is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
