He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Smith and Raymond 'Floyd Carter. He is survived by: his sisters, Kimberlee Carter Turner (Frank), Shelley Carter Johnson (Justin), Tracey Goldstein (Greg) and Cheri 'Nicki Carter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Howard County Way Station in Columbia, MD.
