He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Krystina, John Mark Jr. and Gracie; his siblings, James K. (Kimberly Wharton), Robin Lynn (Thomas Purcell) and Lori Leigh (William Campbell); his nieces and nephews, Richard (Amanda), Carrie (Robert), Heather (Chris), Polly, Katie and Kelsey (Jason); and his parents, James Hardridge Wharton and Betty Jane Truitt.
