We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2026, at the age of 84, Paul Hamlin (Ellicott City, Maryland), born in Passaic, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hamlin and Lillian Hamlin; and his brother Stephen Hamlin. He is survived by: his wife Julie Porosky Hamlin; his children, Allyson Hamlin and Matt Hamlin; the mother of his children Katharine Townsend Svenson; his stepchildren, Jeffrey Devitt and Ardith Porosky; his niece Stacey Milnichuk; his nephews, Stephen Hamlin and Shawn Hamlin; and his daughter-in-law MacRae O'Brien. He is also survived by cousins; and friends.
Two achievements characterized Paul's career contributions to higher education: his development of programs and services specifically tailored for nontraditional students and his innovations in digital education.
