He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rachel Gartrell and Aaron Gartrell; his wife Jean Gartrell; his children, Cynthia Hunter, Debbie Skipper, Thomas Boone, Sharon Grail, John Grail and Glenn Clark; and his grandchildren, Richard Moxley Jr., Sarah Walls, Rebecca Skipper, Zachary Hunter, Joshia Grail, Johnny Grail Jr., Samantha Grail and Kelsey Clark. He was also cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at the Slack Funeral Home (3871 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043).
