It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Gately (Emmitsburg, Maryland), born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Sipes and Minnie Sipes; her daughter Kelly Gately; her grandson Shea Gately; and her sisters, CarolAnn Snader and Mary Adams.

She is survived by : her spouse Thomas J Gately Jr.; her children, Carolyn Bright of Maryland, James Gately (Laura) of Pennsylvania and TJ Gately (Tanya) of Colorado; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Gately, Landyn Hill and Tucker Gately; her great grandchildren, Trinity Gately, Riley and Julian McCachren; and her sisters-in-law, Cindi Mitchell, Mary Martin and Betty Thomas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
