He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Hewitt Tyler (Patty); his children, James Carroll Hewitt Jr. and Tina Hewitt (Ernie Havens); his grandchildren, Kaytlyn Bowling (Alexander Redshaw), Jynapher Bowling and Brianna Laramy (Andrew Lyons); his great grandchild Tanner Havens; his siblings, Doris Hewitt Knott, Kathy Hewitt Wolfe (Suz), Jerry D. Hewitt (Angie Hewitt) and Monroe Hewitt; and his sister-in-law Ruth Hewitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
