She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Joseph Eckenrode and Mary Elizabeth Eckenrode Lynch; her husband Ronald Sweeney; and her sister Anne Eckenrode. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Sweeney of Frederick, Kathleen Sweeney (Zach) of Emmitsburg and Jeremy Sweeney (Jaki) of Pittsburgh, PA; her grandchildren, Cathan, Madalyn and Kaden; and her siblings, Bernard Joseph Eckenrode, Jr. of Trenton, NJ, Thomas Dolan Eckenrode of Trenton, NJ and Marybeth Shuey of Gettysburg, PA..
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (47 Depaul St, Emmitsburg, MD 21727). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New St. Joseph's Cemetery (331 S Seton Ave, Emmitsburg, MD 21727).
