She was predeceased by : her husband John Cowan; and her parents, Dennis Burgess and Josephine Burgess. She is survived by : her children, Jennifer Torres, Taylor, Sarah, Christopher, Amy, Gene, Alex, Ethan, Daisy and Salem. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex (300 Mace Ave, Essex, MD 21221). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
