He was predeceased by : his sister Debbie Forbes; and his parents, Joan Locklear and Grayson Hetterman. He is survived by : his wife Colleen Hetterman (Detorie); his children, Amanda Brown (Eric) and John E. Hetterman, Jr.; his grandsons, Connor and Caleb Brown; his sister Denise Miller; and his nieces and nephews, Nikki Forbes and Briana Hemphill. He is also survived by his family - he especially loved being 'Pop Pop' to his two grandsons.
