He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen (Downey Rice) and D. C.; his daughter Kathryn Sue Rice; his grandson Robert Vincent Kelly; and his sister Ellen Rice Potter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Kelly (Tom) of Westbrook, Conn., Judith Meyer (Phil) of Auburn, Karen Chirgwin (Brad) of Williston, VT., Janet Rice of Woodstock, GA., Theresa Sanderson (Steve) of Newington, Conn. and Connie Brown (Leon). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Georgetown Prep, Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes (10900 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
