We announce the death of Robert Edward Coppinger of Essex, Maryland, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 87. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Lou Coppinger; his children, Deanna Brown (Charlie), Kimberly Okrasinski, Deborah Manno (Ron) and Charles Creager; his grandchildren, Stacy, Nikki, Bridget, Adam, Rosemary and Riley; his great grandchildren, Miranda, Alana, Davis, Lucas, Cameron, Peter and Ace; and his siblings, Jack Coppinger, George Coppinger, Betty Rixham and Cathy Sappington.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex (300 Mace Ave, Essex, MD 21221). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
