He was predeceased by: his father James E. Bailey; his grandparents, Henrietta, Leo Walters and Edna Bailey; and his nephew Ian Stewart.
He is survived by: his mother Constance Colvin (Bailey); his daughter Heather Sherman (Christopher); his grandsons, Jackson and Colton; his daughter Kristin Wheeler (Benjamin); his grandchildren, Jordan and Marshall; his daughter Helena Bailey (Abe Churn); his grandchildren, Brayden and Sophia; and his sisters, Annette Rolfes, Tamara Smith (James) and Michele Maloyed (Donald).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that visitors bring a new or gently worn shirt, which will be donated in David's honor to a local VA shelter.
