It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Blake Jr. (Federalsburg, Maryland), who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Blake Sr. and Gladys "Shirley" Blake; his sister Vera Blake; and his niece Stacey Blake. He is survived by: his children, Keosha Blake and Jawaun Blake; his grandchildren, Isaiah Brown, Elijah Brown, Christian Brown, Jewel Blake and Journee Blake; his siblings, Faith Blake, Barbara Blake, Vanessa Lawrence, Karen Roberts (Edward) and Frank Deshields (Marvel); his siblings' children, Candace Henry (Garnell), Keri Blake, Roxanne Wilson, Wonda Deshields, Ronda Meekins, Monica Davis-Brannon, LaDarian Blake (Logan), Aaron Blake Sr., Tracy Blake Sr. and Edward Roberts Jr. (Takelia); his aunts, Doris Roach (Roland) and Bertina Thomas; and his close friend Jennifer Spence.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bolden-Tilghman Mortuary - Federalsburg Chapel (311 S Main St, Federalsburg, MD 21632). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
