He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Edna Briggs. He is survived by: his siblings, Dorsey Lee Briggs and Samuel Edward Briggs; his family William; his wife Audrey; his children, William Harold Briggs (Debra) of Newark, DE and Barbara A. Cook of Cecilton, MD.; his godson Donald Henry of Bridgeville, DE.; his grandchildren, Jenee'Briggs-Sampson (Eric) of Secane, PA and LaShea Briggs of Newark, DE.; his sister-in-law Loretta Briggs of Federalsburg, MD; and his nephew Maurice Stanford of Federalsburg, MD.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Union United Methodist Church - Federalsburg (301 N Main St, Federalsburg, MD 21632). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:15 AM and from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rev. Briggs' memory to Solomon AUMP Church (4992 Skinners Run Road, Hurlock, MD 21643).
