We announce the death of David Smith of Finksburg, Maryland, who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 90. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. David will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. David’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Smith and Betty Barnhill Smith; and his siblings, Dale, Gloria Oxley and Hal Gomer.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Alice Glisson Smith; and his niece Heather Johnson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Patapsco United Methodist Church of Finksburg (2930 Patapsco Rd, Finksburg, MD 21048).
