It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Janet Mathias of Finksburg, Maryland, who passed away at the age of 82, on January 28, 2026. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William T. Brothers and Genive Dutterer Brothers; her husband Herbert G. Mathias III; and her brothers, William "Bill" Oscar and Tommy Brothers.

She is survived by: her son Matthew J. Mathias (Karie); her grandchildren, Meghan, Joshua, Zachary and Sadie Mathias; her siblings-in-law, Mayumi Brothers, Deb, Sam Mathias and Tom Mathias; and her nieces and nephews, Jimmy, John, Scott, Andrea, Julie and Jason.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Sandy Mount United Methodist Church.
