Betty Lee (Pifer) Rowe Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Betty Lee (Pifer) Rowe of Flintstone, Maryland. Betty, born on January 28, 1934, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hetzel Pifer and Mildred Pifer (Alt); her husband James Rowe; her son Larry Rowe (Geri Rowe); and her siblings, Norman Pifer, Jack Pifer, Sr., Sharon May and Juanita Reed.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alice Rowe-Shipley, Linda Smith (Bryan) and Karen Ware; her sister Eileen Sellers (Dave); her brothers-in-law, Tom Reed and Donnie May; her grandchildren, Shane Rowe, Janelle and Delaney Shipley; and her brothers-in-law, Brandon, Andrew Smith, Brooke Digman, Lindsay and Colton Ware. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Betty's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to the Flintstone Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 155, Flintstone, MD 21530.
