He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Hardie, Sr. and Janie Norman Hardie; his wife Brenda Marshall Hardie; and his nephew Devon Perry. He is survived by: his children, Anika Alvanzo (Neil) and Kenneth "Marco" Hardie (Alexis); his grandchildren, Nia Edwards, Skylar Alvanzo, Kenneth "Kenny" M. Hardie, II and Alexandra "Alex" Hardie; his brother Robert "Bobby" L. Hardie, Jr. (Penny); his mother-in-law Neola Edwards; his sister-in-law Carolyn Perry; and his sibling's children, Robert "Levon" Hardie (Deneah), Dennis "Champ" Perry (Monica) and Robin Hardie Hood (Tom).
