He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Edward Widder and Helen Widder (Kleinknecht Moomaw); his daughter Kelsi Widder; and his sister Linda Ladrach. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Widder (Cathy); his daughters, Katrina Smith of Cary, NC, Kimberly Stevens (Jeff (Frederick, MD) and Kara Caprarola (Ivan (Middletown, MD); his grandchildren, Cole Stevens (Lea (Joppa, MD), Ellie Stevens (Frederick, MD), Anna, Shawn Smith of Cary, NC, Dawson, Haley and Brooke Caprarola (Middletown, MD); his great grandchild Elias Stevens (Joppa, MD); his sister Marcia Weber (Don (Dover); and his brothers-in-law, Bob Ladrach of Sugarcreek, OH and Steve Goetz (Marcia (Fremont). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Glade United Church of Christ (21 Fulton Ave, Walkersville, MD 21793). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
