As we bid Catherine farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Catherine is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Durst and Alma Durst (Garlitz); and her sibling's children, Jeffrey Kight and Michelle Kight. She is survived by: her sisters, Dottie Kight of Hancock and Janice Durst of Moscow; and her nephews, Rusty Kight (Laura) of Frederick and Bryan Kight of Hancock. She is also survived by six great nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home (8 E Main St, Lonaconing, MD 21539). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
