He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin Butler and Betty Catherine Baumgardner; and his sister Susan G. Ball. He is survived by: his siblings, Wayne E. Butler (Bonnie), Craig A. Butler Sr. (Deborah) of Frederick and Annette Porter of Knoxville; his nieces, Tara, Kelly, Amy, Jamie and Kimberly; and his nephew Craig Jr..
