Dick Varson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dick Varson of Frederick, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dick Varson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Varson and Agnes Varson (Boris); his wife Anna Maria Emilia Varson; and his brothers, Robert "Bob" Varson (Debbie) and Donald Francis Varson (Rosemary).
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Ann Miller (Guy) of Lewes, DE, Adrianne Alexandra Whelan (Daniel) of Frederick, MD and Jacqueline Joyce Givens (Jay) of New Market, MD.; his grandchildren, Lauren Collins (Andrew), Robert Miller (Laura), Anna Whelan, Paige Welch (Eric) and Amanda Marrero (Giancarlo); and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Colton, Leandro, Carly, Adelina and Quinn.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes (106 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church (118 E 2nd St, Frederick, MD 21701).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dick's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306, or to the Frederick County Humane Society, 1786 North Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
