She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis J. Ruland and Florence S. Ruland. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Alfred Thackston Jr.; her children, Mike (Debbie), Lou (Natalie) and Pam; her granddaughters, Jennifer Kendro (Kevin) and Julie Scherer (Rob); and her great grandchildren, Kaiden, Kamden, Karson Kendro and Atlas Scherer.
A reception will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home (106 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701).
