Gary Lee Heerd Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Lee Heerd Sr. (Frederick, Maryland), who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Heerd and Margaret Allen Heerd; and his brother Alan Heerd. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lea McIntosh Heerd; his sons, Gary L. Heerd, Jr. (Susan) of Martinsburg, WV and Todd D. Heerd (Heather) of Frederick; his granddaughters, Aimee, Emily and Alexandra; his great grandchildren, Lyla, Ira, Talya and Audra; and his brother Phillip Heerd (Kathy) of Martinsburg, WV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in Gary's memory to the American Heart Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Frederick Friends of Our County Animal Shelter or The American Cancer Society.
