He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cloyd Wilburn and Bertha Berney Wilburn; his siblings, Donald, Louis, Berney and Marguerite; and his nephews, Berney Truan "Skippy" Wilburn, Jr. and Mark Wilburn "Sparky" LaCivita.
He is survived by: his sibling's children, Peter LaCivita, John Wilburn, Lisa LaCivita, Patricia Wilburn Pretsch (Pat) and M'Lou Wilburn Wise; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Augusta Wise, Elinor Pretsch, Sam Wilburn and Luke Wise.
Contributions may be made in his honor to the Mid-Atlantic Soaring Association or to Strathmore Center for the Arts in Montgomery County Maryland.
