He was predeceased by: his parents, George Poddo and Marjorie Barrons Poddo; his daughter Stacey; and his sisters, Ann, Margie and Patti.
He is survived by: his wife Joanie Wilson; his children, Lori Sawyer (Cary), Michael (Cindy) and Stephen; and his siblings, Maria of Palmerton, Pennsylvania., Michael, Thomas, Stephen, Patrick and Paul Wilson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Timothy Catholic Church (8651 Biggs Ford Rd, Walkersville, MD 21793). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Frederick - and the family extends their heartfelt gratitude for their care and compassion in the final days. (https://www.frederickhealthhospice.org) A service will take place at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, located at 8651 Biggs Ford Road Walkersville Maryland, 21793, on Saturday June 21st, starting at 10 am with a reception to follow at 11am.
