As Janie Bell departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Janie Bell may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Janie Bell leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben McBurnett and Luvenia McBurnett; her husband Ernest Belton; and her grandchildren, Lillie "Cookie" Johnson and Warren Walton.

She is survived by: her son Ernest Belton Jr.; her daughter-in-law Doris Belton; her sister Adgerina Long; and her grandchildren, Carla M. Jones (Ronald), Ernest Andre Belton (Karla), Willie Johnson, Jr. (Kim) and James Bernard Johnson (April). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
