She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rex and Annie Margaret Mays; her husband Charles Aubrey Dixon, Jr.; and her son Stephen Grigg Dixon. She is survived by: her sons, William Bryan (Jean Lown), Thomas Aubrey (Jaime) and Kevin Hunter (Debbie); her grandchildren, Annie, Sean, Jennie and Luke; and her stepgrandchildren, Michele, John, Ryan, Kendal and Jason. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Calvary United Methodist Church or Hospice of Frederick County.
