Joyce Marie McAfoos Skidmore Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Marie McAfoos Skidmore of Frederick, Maryland, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard E. McAfoos and Bernice L. McAfoos (Work); her husband Ronald Lee Skidmore; and her siblings, Phyllis R. Fitzgerald, Dale E. McAfoos, James William McAfoos and Leona M. Atcheson.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Graham (Jim), Joseph Skidmore (Jean), James Skidmore, Margaret Skidmore, Edith Banks (Darryle) and Kathleen Rougeux (Tom). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Homes (1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Timothy's Catholic Church (8651 Biggs Ford Rd, Walkersville, MD 21793).
