She is survived by: her husband Jerome Keith Maultsby; her sister Keiko Morita; her son Nathan Fitzgerald (Mercedes); her grandchildren, Ezra, Esther, Nehemiah and Josiah; her daughter Nina Kazadi (Joe); her granddaughter Nora; her great grandchildren, Jerome Kojo, Jada Kay and Jamal Keith; and her pets, Aki and Jindo.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center or Walter Reed National Military Medical Center/Murtha Cancer Center in honor of Kumi's memory.
