With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leo L. Shank of Frederick, Maryland, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Leo left this world on June 17, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer O. Shank and Edna Baxter Shank of Thurmont, MD.; and his brothers, Weldon, Odell, Roscoe and Cleo.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Crawford Shank; his sons, Randall L. Shank (Beth) and Ricke O. Shank (Teresa); his grandchildren, Jacob M. Shank, Ashley LaGasse (Grant), Jennifer Whipp (Joe) and Stephanie; his great grandchildren, Laimarie Shank (Laila), Madeline Shank, Eziekiel Shank, Caroline, Kate LaGasse, Kal, Korie Jo Honaker, Reid and Brooks Whipp; his stepgranddaughters, Brittany Ecker (Justin) and Alyssa Orsette (Jacob); and his caregiver Michelle Arthur.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home (1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
